Agape Family Christian Center was first conceived in the all-wise MIND of GOD HIMSELF before the foundations of the world. God's SOVERIGN WILL had foreordained the birth of this ministry to take place on January 16, 2000. It is as though God was declaring that, whereas mankind would celebrate the ushering in of a new millennium in the year 2000, Minister Wardell C. Brimm and Minister Rosalind Brimm would find higher cause for celebration: the birth of Agape Family Christian Center.
Our first home was Centrevill City Hall. We thank God for moving in the hearts and souls of Mayor Frankie Seaberry and the City Council, who gave us official permission to use the facilities of the main council room for our worship services. Both the Mayor and City Council were very encouraging and supportive during our stay at City Hall! God bless each of you!
On Sunday, January 16, 2002, over fifty worshippers were present for our inaugural worship service. We thank our personal family members and friends for your attendance, prayers, encouragement, and various other forms of support. May God bless you richly!
Our founding leaders included Minister Wardell C. Brimm, pastor-teacher,; Minister Rosalind Brimm, assistant pastor-teacher; Apostle Jannie Brady; Minister Sheridan Cruise; and Minister Nancy Hudson.
In March 2000, we moved to 5612 State Street in East St. Louis, Illinois. On Sunday July 8, 2001, we marched into our new worship facility at 2020 West Main in Belleville, Illinois. We praise God who by HIS SOVEREIGN POWER and PROVIDENTIAL WILL has brought the Agape Family to this phase in our ministry. We also thank the greater Metro-East Community for your continuous prayers, encouragement, and other expressions of the AGAPE form of LOVE.
We are yet in our infancy as a Christian fellowship. It is imperative for our members and others yet to come to be nurtured and developed spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Consequently, Pastor Wardell Brimm is committed to providing anointed, systematic teaching and preaching of sound biblical doctrine. The challenge is great, the need is great, and the battle is great to be all and do all that God has ordained. Herein is found our mandate: "GO ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY GHOST: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." (Matt. 28:19-20).
